Bree Stevens, Program Manager, ANZGOG Survivors Teaching Students® 

Bree Stevens is ANZGOG’s Survivors Teaching Students® (STS) Program Manager and oversees ANZGOG’s Community Engagement Program. With a degree in Communications and a Master of Health Policy, Bree has over 20 years’ experience in the health sector (both government and not-for-profit roles) with specialist experience in women’s cancers.     

 ANZGOG’s Community Engagement Program delivers opportunities for people with lived experience of gynaecological cancers to contribute meaningfully to impact outcomes for women now and in the future. Community Volunteer Roles are available in the areas of Education, Advocacy and Research. Survivors Teaching Students is the Education pillar of ANZGOG’s Community Engagement Program – a sought-after experiential learning program that brings gynaecological cancer survivors and caregivers into the classrooms of our next generation of health professionals to teach them about women’s experience with the diseases. Working with over 100 active volunteers, Bree trains and supports STS presenters to share their stories providing students with memorable patient insights to inform their future practice.
