Leena St Martin

clinical psychologist, Te Toka Tumai Auckland

Leena has worked as a clinical psychologist for nearly 3 decades, having graduated from The University of Auckland in 1996.  For the past 23 years, since joining Gynaecology Outpatients at what was then known as National Women’s Hospital, Leena has specialised in gynaecological and sexual difficulties.  This includes gynaecological cancer and pelvic pain/uro-genital pain syndromes.  Leena is familiar with supporting people to address grief and adjustment to change posed by these and other complex physical health conditions.   For the past 16 years Leena has also been the professional leader for over 55 psychologists working across various physical health services at Te Toka Tumai Auckland (previously Auckland District Health Board).  She is keen to promote the role of psychologists in  such multi-disciplinary teams, with the intention of improving patient experience.
