Wanda is a highly experienced advocate for those with a lived experience of cancer. As an early champion of women’s rights in the 80’s, since her ovarian cancer diagnosis in 2004 she has focused her skills on campaigning for research and development in the treatment of gynaecological cancers. This commitment was further reinforced, after caring for her mother in 2019 during the end stage of endometrial cancer.

 Wanda has volunteered with ANZGOG since 2010. She was appointed to the ANZGOG Board as the Consumer Director in 2020, is the recent past chair of ANZGOG’s Consumer Research Panel and is currently a member of the ASM Organising committee, the EDEN Steering committee and co- chair of EDENS Advocacy and Funding Workgroup. She has represented ANZGOG both nationally and internationally; speaking out for better outcomes in people diagnosed with gynaecological cancers.
