Welcome MESSAGE

The Collective Leap: United Action in Gynaecological Cancer

We are thrilled to invite you to the ANZGOG 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting [ASM] to be held in Adelaide, South Australia from Wednesday 21 April to Friday 23 April 2027.

Gynaecological cancer research does not advance in isolation. It advances through connection, collaboration and shared purpose.

ANZGOG's Annual Scientific Meeting is where that happens. It's the flagship event for Australia and New Zealand's gynaecological oncology community, the one forum clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals, lived experience advocates and industry partners come together to share breakthroughs, challenge thinking, and accelerate what comes next.

In 2026, the ASM set a new benchmark for attendance, engagement and delegate feedback, confirming its place as a must-attend event for the region’s gynaecological cancer community.

In 2027, we're raising the bar again.

Our theme, The Collective Leap: United Action in Gynaecological Cancer, represents a deliberate shift from insight and innovation to alignment and action. Progress will not come from any single breakthrough, but from research, clinical practice, policy, community and industry moving forward together.

The 2027 program brings this vision to life, featuring three outstanding international Keynote Speakers:

·       Medical Oncologist: Dr Stephanie Lheureux, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, Canada

·       Gynaecological Oncologist: Dr Anisa Mburu, Aga Khan Hospital, Kenya

·       Radiation Oncologist: Dr Jyoti Mayadev, University of California, San Diego, USA

They will join leading experts from across Australia and New Zealand, creating a program that is designed not just to inform, but to challenge thinking, spark new connections and turn ideas into action.

The Pure Science Symposium returns, showcasing the pre-clinical and translational research shaping the future of gynaecological cancer care, alongside targeted workshops spanning radiation oncology, research career development, nursing, study coordination and multidisciplinary care.

Across three days, the ASM will bring together the breadth of our community in one place, creating opportunities to learn from the best in the field, exchange ideas, forge new collaborations and help shape what comes next for gynaecological cancer research and care.

This is more than a scientific meeting. It is a place to connect with colleagues, challenge the status quo and contribute to a collective agenda for change.

The ANZGOG Scientific Meeting Program Committee, including Deputy Chair A/Prof Kate Webber, is a diverse group of ANZGOG members from across Australia and New Zealand. We look forward to welcoming you to Adelaide and taking The Collective Leap together.

The leap is coming. The question is: will you be part of it?

We hope you will join us.
